ok, so, uh… screw you, green line!
yes, my first day of commuting involved an experiment… walk from my place in lower allston to comm. ave., where i’d catch the b train on the green line, heading inbound to the copley stop near my new job.
consider that experiment a complete failure. packed like sardines in a crushed tin box. nose to nose with the teeming masses. sweaty, rain-soaked nasuea. a total nightmare. stop and start, stop and start. nowhere to sit, nowhere to hang on.
the ride home was even worse. i had to get off because i thought i was gonna lose it. i’ll never take that train again.
so… tomorrow i try walking to harvard, catching the red line to the orange line. i wanted to avoid switching trains, but the green just isn’t worth it. ugh.
other than the commute, the first day of work was great. a little overwhelming, but the people are cool, the cube is tolerable, and the location is excellent. so much to learn, so much to read, so much to take in. so psyched.
practice tonight sounded great. hope that’s a good sign for our show tomorrow. can’t wait to hit the stage at the middle east. then, wednesday… the lord of the rings. hot damn.
