The first Monday morning of March, and a chill wind blows through Boston. Begone with you, Foul February, historically my cruelest of months. This one wasn’t bad, although worky stuff threatened my sanity at times. Fortunately my super-cool wife-pardner and my good pals helped pull me through the gray days and Feb’s evil ways. All is well on the eastern front.
I couldn’t have asked for a much better weekend, really. Lots o’ sleepin’, movie watchin’, game playin’, organizin’, laundry-doin’, and overall hahd-coah relaxin’. More importantly, a visit from the one and only Colin, and a Saturday night spent with friends at a Pilot to Gunner show. I said it before, and I’ll say it again… I cannot wait until they record “Metropolitan”. Now there’s a rock song.
I wish I could bottle up days like Saturday and drink it when I’m down.
Looking forward… a solid work week with productive plans, a little mid-week yoga action (more on that later), an Interpol show on Thursday, and I slide into the weekend with some skiing (cross country, that is) at Smuggler’s Notch. That’s a work-bonding-outing type deal, so hopefully Amie will join me… and actually get to meet some of these fellow cube-dwellers of mine. Oh, how I love it when my worlds collide.
