Bradley’s Almanac

Posted on April 23, 2025 at 9:44 am | No Comments

Hey, it’s my Wednesday morning rundown of newly-announced Boston-area shows alongside my optimistic personal event-going plans over the next week. Still no catchy name for this weekly post. Don’t have it in me.

I was thinking on Monday afternoon that there hadn’t been many shows announced since last week… then Tuesday hit (as Tuesday does) and BAM! Sebadoh, Pulp, Elvis Costello doing the old stuff, Greg Norton & friends doing Husker Du, & more. That list is below, after I map out my own imminent itinerary…

Which involves, as usual, choices. The overlap of the Independent Film Festival Boston and the The Town & The City Festival up in Lowell is a bummer, and I’m going to try and do a bit o’ both. Even the IFFB itself has me making a tough call: The Pavements movie conflicts with the Butthole Surfers documentary (with Gibby in attendance!) on Saturday night. Oof.

Anyway, in a broken world, these are hardly ‘problems’. Enough whining, here’s what’s up. Full list over in the right hand column, as always —->

My own week ahead…
