[Boston-Area Action 5/21/25] My Show-Going Plans & New Show Announcements
Posted on May 21, 2025 at 12:33 pm | No Comments
Welp, here we are again. Another Wednesday, another list of recent Boston-area show announcements, plus my definite weekend show-going plans (which don’t preclude spontaneous ones from the full list over in the right column.
Some all-time faves return to town in the coming days, including the Swirlies with Mark Robinson (Unrest/Teen-Beat Record/etc) tomorrow night at the Paradise, and The Wedding Present at The Sinclair on Saturday. If you’re going to that, DO NOT miss openers the Tubs. Trust me.
And depending on Thursday night’s timing, I’m hoping to rush to Sally O’Brien’s after the Paradise to see if anyone is still at the Steve Morse memorial tribute with Barrence Whitfield & The Savages. Fingers crossed.

[Boston-Area Action 5/15/25] My Show Plans This Weekend & New Show Announcements
Posted on May 15, 2025 at 12:26 pm | No Comments
‘Tis time for the weekly list of new Boston-area show announcements, plus a mention of the shows I’m hoping to attend in the next seven days. I should clarify that it isn’t the shows I will attend, just the shows I want to. There’s always a chance of bailing. Or choosing something different. Or hell, maybe even hitting a show that’s not listed because I’m compelled to get out of the house. Basically, don’t hold me to any of this.

My plans ahead, in which I have to choose between Califone & a Chris Brokaw show. Painful.
