Well, this is a nice surprise…
Details from the Brattle website…
Lili Taylor is one of independent films most distinctive talents. With roles in Dogfight, Short Cuts, The Addiction, I Shot Andy Warhol, Girls Town, Pecker, High Fidelity, and her recent turn on HBOs Six Feet Under, Taylor has proven herself a remarkably versatile actress. Her fresh face and apparent innocence belie a toughness and sincerity in her performances that is matched by few in her generation. Her career has lead her to work with some of indie films most remarkable directors including Robert Altman, John Waters, Abel Ferrara, Allison Anders, Emir Kusturica, Nancy Savoca and John Sayles.
We welcome Ms. Taylor to the Brattle stage for a conversation moderated by independent film producer Amy Geller. A screening of one of Ms. Taylors films will follow the discussion.
Advance tickets are only available through Ticketweb here, so it’s a bit on the pricey side (about $17 each). Still, we’re there. And no, I’m not going to request that she sing a few lines of “Joe Lies”.
