[Boston-Area Action 2/25/26] Show-Going Plans & New Show Announcements
Posted on February 25, 2026 at 12:35 pm | No Comments
Ok, we’re officially dug out here at the homestead after the Blizzard of ’26, and I’ve actually got a free moment to pull together this weekly Wednesday post of impending Boston-area shows that are on my radar along with newly-announced dates since the last of these things. Sorry, that was an over-long first sentence.
Lots of (actually, too many) cool shows happening in the next seven days, which means conflicts galore. My personal can’t miss: The Moviola, Sleepyhead, Thalia Zedek team-up at the Lilypad Inman this Friday night. If it weren’t for that, you know I’d be at Allston Pudding’s birthday bash, which is very sold out, just as it should be. Also may try to stop by the Middle East on the way to Inman for the early show there (deets below), but not sure the timing will work out. Bummed I can’t clone myself to hit Deep Cuts for the Landowner LP release, or head out to Waltham to catch Winterpills. Their latest record (released in November) is excellent, and a night with them at the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation will surely be a special one.
More tough decisions on Saturday, with Corin & Anthony at Village Social Club, Sailor Down at BareWolf Brewing in Amesbury, Minibeast in Lowell, Ratboys with Florry at The Sinclair, and a big benefit for the Assobet Armory at Clover Road Brewing in Hudson.
Highlights from the new show announcements? Well, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart have been added as the opener for the two Belle and Sebastian shows at the Orpheum in May. That rules. The lineup for the next Which Side Are You On? was announced (and is already full up). Will Dailey plays the Paradise in April, Good Flying Birds are playing the Lilypad after they hit Providence Popfest, and, and…
There’s a lot more. Keep reading. If I missed anything you’re looking forward to, either in the next week or that was just announced, please plug away in the comments. And check out the Almanac’s right-side column for the full list of shows over there —>
