[Boston-Area Action 4/15/26] Show-Going Plans & New Show Announcements
Posted on April 15, 2026 at 4:10 pm | No Comments
Should probably post this before Wednesday gets away from me entirely. Time for the weekly rundown of recent Boston-area show announcements that are in my taste-wheelhouse, or at least ones I think friends might care about. Along with a list of shows I might check out this week/end, before the next of these things.
There are two personal definites this weekend: Swirlies & Sharp Pins opening for Snail Mail at, sigh, Big Night Live on Friday. A ridiculously corporate venue that bands have good shows in spite of, not because of. Thankfully, the weekend will end at the far-better Sinclair with my beloved Heavenly, playing a wonderful bill with Jeanines & Swansea Sound. Cannot wait.
And Tuesday’s a busy one, with Matt Pond PA back at Passim with Dan Mangan, a LUCE benefit in JP that includes Hotline TNT (no advance tickets, gonna be nuts), and the monthly Which Side?: A Protest Music Teach-Out in the Burren Backroom. Choices, always choices.
If there are any shows not listed below or in the Almanac’s right-hand column that you are psyched about, or any incorrect info in these lists, sound off in the comments.
And if you haven’t yet, pitch in to help our friend Joe through a rough patch at this GoFundMe link.
Let’s get listing, impending shows first, then announcements…
